WEILER’s D3 Control: Simply Brilliant – Brilliantly Simple

From the simplest to the most complex applications: WEILER’s D3 control is brilliantly simple. It is user friendly, specially developed software is based on customer experience and requirements in working with more than 3000 WEILER cycle controlled lathes – simply brilliant.

Quick and simple communication between man and machine

You won’t need high levels of programming know-how. The D3 has everything under control – its intelligent WEILER software will easily guide you through the program. Using a built in manual mode, the E machines may also be operated just like an engine lathe. Or you program the complete contour of the work piece with the aid of automated cycles which engage a geometry processor – for the automatic calculation of intersection points.

Your can choose from the following cycles:

• Cutting: longitudinal and transverse cutting with any technology

• Grooving: choose among a wide range of technologies (e.g. standard

   grooving, step grooving, turn cutting, etc.)

• Thread cutting: data input for defining the thread geometry is kept to a minimum

• Drilling

The control includes a clearly organized user interface with TFT screen (12.1“) and an additional touch-sensitive full scale membrane keyboard. Machine and processing data input is practice-oriented and well structured – and the tool administration feature of the D3 makes it easy for you to set up a reliable operator technology data base.
